Loronda C. Giddens is an Army veteran who worked as a corporate professional for over a decade before transitioning to state government. She is an experienced human services professional with a strong background in mental health counseling, case management, and substance abuse prevention. Loronda has an extensive history of working with at-risk youth in group homes and the juvenile justice system. Giddens worked as a Juvenile Probation Specialist, and currently works as a Regional Volunteer Coordinator with the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice. Loronda went from training Fortune 500 corporations on financial services to becoming a P.O.S.T. Certified Instructor. She is a national conference speaker who educates on workplace wellness, domestic minor sex trafficking, gender violence, child sexual abuse prevention, bullying, teen dating violence, LGBTQ awareness, personal and professional development. Loronda spent 3 years as Chairperson of Work Group 4: Keeping At-Risk Youth Safe on the Georgia Statewide Human Trafficking Task Force. Giddens earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science from the University of Alabama and a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from Argosy University. She is a self-published author of “Peeling Back the Layers of Your Life: A Pathway Revealing 365 Hidden Treasures," "Peeling Back the Layers of Your Life: Inspiring Quotes to Live By," and "Peeling Back the Layers of Your Life: 143 Inspiring Quotes to Live By.” Loronda is also Founder and CEO of EnerPeace Creations, LLC. A business that provides training and speaking services. She is the Creator, Host, and Producer of two internationally syndicated podcasts, Peeling Back the Layer of Your Life® and Loronda Inspires Greatness.
One of the most valuable lessons Loronda learned was something we all struggle with, and that's to embrace change. Today she lives by the philosophy that change is going to happen anyway so why not just embrace it. She shares her wisdom between the pages of her books.
