Loronda C. Giddens is an Army veteran who worked as a corporate professional for over a decade before transitioning to state government. She is an experienced human services professional with a strong background in mental health counseling, case management, and substance abuse prevention. Loronda has an extensive history of working with at-risk youth in group homes and the juvenile justice system. Giddens worked as a Juvenile Probation Specialist, and currently works as a Regional Volunteer Coordinator with the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice. Loronda went from training Fortune 500 corporations on financial services to becoming a P.O.S.T. Certified Instructor. She is a national conference speaker who educates on workplace wellness, domestic minor sex trafficking, gender violence, child sexual abuse prevention, bullying, teen dating violence, LGBTQ awareness, personal and professional development. Loronda spent 3 years as Chairperson of Work Group 4: Keeping At-Risk Youth Safe on the Georgia Statewide Human Trafficking Task Force. Giddens earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science from the University of Alabama and a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from Argosy University.
